BTM AI Youth Workshops
Ray Arceneaux, MBA—widely known as “The Connect”—is the visionary Founder of Black Tech Mafia (BTM). A Nashville native and proud father of two sons, Ray’s journey is one of resilience, innovation, and empowerment.
As a child, Ray witnessed his biological father incarcerated for drug-related charges and his stepfather imprisoned for murder. Many of his weekends were spent visiting both men in prison, experiences that fueled his determination to break generational cycles and write his own legacy.
His personal mission statement: "We are best suited to serve the people we once were."
Ray holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Middle Tennessee State University. He has over 25 years of combined expertise in real estate, finance, and technology.
Seeking to expand his skill set, Ray completed a one-year coding bootcamp at Nashville Software School, equipping himself with software development. This technical foundation, combined with his entrepreneurial drive, led to the creation of Black Tech Mafia, a movement dedicated to empowering the Black community through technology.
Ray continues to out hustle his situation, inspiring others to harness technology to transform their lives. He is the creator of two AI powered health apps drawn from his experience of managing Type 1 Diabetes. His signature app, A1C Plan is currently in re-launch and his newest platform Family Health Tree will allow families to Build Generational Health.
BTM provides youth tech workshops in the Nashville area by working with school districts,non-profits, and community driven organizations.
